The game can be played on Evolution Network starting November 22nd.

Fantastic mix of Ancient Egypt and sci-fi:

Yes, there are a lot of Ancient Egypt-themed slots, but there’s not a game like this one! The pyramids you see aren’t ordinary pyramids; they are actual spaceships that can transport the players to other dimensions and galaxies. This sci-fi background is enriched to probably the most famous Cult’s song, She Sells Sanctuary. Apart from great gameplay an…

Macau To Host Minimum 960,000 Visitors for Lunar New Year, MGTO Says

A minimum of 960.000 individuals are projected to pay a visit to Macau throughout the duration of Lunar New Year, which will last 8 days, with an average number of visitors of 120.000 daily, according to Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, director of the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO).

Almost all rooms are already reserved in major hotels:

Hotel occupancy should get back to almost 90% throughout the aforementioned New Year’s celebration, which will occur from February 10 to February 17 of this ongoing year. Commenting on this topic at the event on February 8, Fernandes commented that, looking back on previous experience, the number of visitors will reach its peak during the 3rd and 4th days of Chinese New Year.

In this regard, she said: “It will be dominated by visitors from the mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, with at least 960,000 tourists visiting Macau during the eight-day holiday.”

AMD keeps chipping away at Intel as latest figures show increased market share in PCs, laptops and servers-

The bad news for Intel just keeps on rollin’. This time it’s the latest figures from Mercury Research showing AMD pinching year-on-year market share from Intel in both desktop and laptop PCs. Oh, and servers, too. Ouch.

Mercury’s numbers do show an overall uptick for Intel in terms of total x86 chip market share. However, that’s a consequence of cratering sales of AMD’s SoCs, specifically the chips in gaming consoles. Mercury doesn’t break down the numbers, but Microsoft’s Xbox console sales have largely imploded of late. So, that will likely be where much of the pain is coming from.

The loss of console sales for AMD is largely inevitable given the cyclical nature of game consoles and the fact that we’re nearer the end of the current generation of consoles than the beginning.

More specifically, AMD’s desktop x86 CPU share for the second quarter of 2024 grew to 23%, up from 19.4% for the same quarter last year. Intel and AMD are the only players in the x86 CPU market, so AMD’s gain is Intel’s loss, with the latter slipping from 80.6% to 77%.

In laptops, AMD is up to 20.3% for the latest quarter, up from 16.5% for the same quarter last year. Finally, in ser…

‘If you’re a top gamer, or a coder, your country needs you’- The UK Defence Secretary wants gamers for, y’know, real-life warfare

I have seen war. Well, actually, I’ve played at war from the comfort of my gaming chair. Which means, in all honesty, I haven’t seen war at all. I have clicked on many pretend enemy soldiers, however, and they have fallen over appropriately.

According to UK Defence Secretary John Healey, that makes me a great candidate to join the UK military, rather than writing words for the internet. A new career opportunity awaits!

Speaking at the annual Labour Party conference in Liverpool, Healey gave an impassioned speech about the UK military’s current recruitment woes—stating that, out of one million applicants over the last ten years, three in four gave up due to red tape and an application process that can take months to complete.

Healey announced that not only was he scrapping 100 “outdated policies” that stand in the way of current military hopefuls, but also that he wanted gamers, coders, and let’s face it, us nerds, to do our duty and serve.

“I’m setting up a new direct route for Cyber Military recruits. Because if you’re a top gamer, or a coder, your country needs you,” he announced, in front of a bright red backdrop, the traditional colour of the …

All the Dragon Age- The Veilguard companion gifts and where to find them

Dragon Age: The Veilguard has brought back the age old tradition of gifting things to your companions to make them like you more. Unlike in Dragon Age: Origins, this isn’t a guessing game where you need to find out by trial and error who likes silver necklaces and who get revved up by ancient scrolls. Things are a lot more obvious and you basically can’t screw this up, so long as you can locate them all.

In Veilguard you cannot give gifts to the wrong person by accident. Each gift is clearly labelled with who it’s for and when you acquire it you’ll get a small side quest telling you to go give it to the relevant companion. You also can’t accidentally sell a gift instead of giving it to a party member, so you’re protected from that mistake as well. Really the only task here is figuring out where to get each gift.

Veilguard gift locations

In Veilguard there appears to be just one gift per companion that you can give. Each one is sold by a merchant for the faction that companion belongs to. You can find gifts in the “Valuables and Collectibles” tab with the relevant companion’s portrait next to it. I wasn’t able to find any additional gifts b…
